Laboratory simulation of sea waves
Investigation was undertaken to discover extent to which statistical properties of wind-generated waves can be simulated on small scale under laboratory conditions; study was directed to response of harbors and canals to tidal motions and to durability of coastline structures; experimental data were collected in wind and wave facility for more than 150 "sea" conditions at 12 fetches of 9 to 65 ft and 10 wind speeds of 19 to 72 fps.
