The area of water surface as a controlling factor in the condition of polluted harbor waters
Discusses sources of oxygen required to meet demand for polluting matter in waters of New York harbor. It is shown that air is most important source of this oxygen which is obtained by direct absorption through water surface. (See also - vol. 47, no. 10, Dec. 1921, pp. 603-616 p 711-716)
