Consolidation around pore pressure meters
Reference made to newest type of pore pressure meter at Delft Soil Mechanics Laboratory in Netherlands; response of meter on variations in loading conditions of surrounding soil is retarded by necessity that pore water has to enter instrument; this property is introduced as coefficient influencing boundary conditions; calculation of response as function of time, involving 3-dimensional consolidation theory.
