Theoretical and practical aspects of slot ventilation in connection with vehicular road tunnels
Discussion of fully transverse and semitransverse ventilating systems previously described by F.S.Atkinson, I.C.F.Statham and author; methods employ slot ventilation by controlled leakage; uniform rate of air flow is supplied to whole length of vehicular tunnel and noxious fumes and smoke emitted from exhausts of vehicles passing through tunnel are diluted and removed almost at source. See Engineering Index 1962 p 1463.
