Estimation of field effective stresses and prediction of total heave using revised method of analysing double oedometer test
Method of analyzing double oedometer test, by using rebound curves, enables volume changes of unsaturated soils to be considered in terms of effective stresses; data concerning depth of seasonal influence, effects of surface vegetation and influence of water table depth can be obtained using method; predictions of total heave show substantial agreement with observed total heaves.
