New outfall sewer at Bury St. Edmunds
Design of outfall sewer recently completed in England, allows for expansion of town to 35,000 population together with supporting industry; total length of new sewer is 6050 yd linear with pipes varying from 21 to 51 in. diam; concrete pipes cast in sulfate resisting cement were used for length of 4700 yd to safeguard against any possibility of attack from future industrial effluents.
