Development of type of flexible revetment, and its use; new seawall is to protect face of dunes and esplanade above along length of 5000 ft, between end of existing sea wall and mouth of River Don; it consists of concrete blockwork revetment, with steel sheet piling at toe, and concrete coping at new lower promenade level; blockwork and panel beams are designed to be flexible enough to permit settlement with sand without being damaged, and without development of high stresses.
