Continuous deformed bar reinforcement for concrete pavement
Results of laboratory experiments on simulated continuously reinforced concrete slabs; specimens 3×28 ft were reinforced with deformed bars, variables being slab thickness, total percent of steel, position of steel, and subgrade modulus; slabs were cast with preformed transverse cracks in testing region; vertical static loads, simulated traffic loads and horizontal longitudinal loads were used to simulate stresses induced by temperature changes.
