Relation of asphalt ductility to pavement performance
Significance of relationship between consistency at which asphalt begins to lose ductility rapidly and temperature at which such consistency occurs is shown in critical review and restudy of published data and previously unpublished data concerning asphalt ductility; analysis of data indicates that ductility-penetration curve of thin film residue provides useful means for differentiating between asphalts and detecting those materials most likely to give unsatisfactory service.
