Chambal Valley Development Scheme is 3-phase project involving construction of Gandhi Sagar Dam, building of dam and powerhouse below river designated Maharana Pratap Sagar, and dam above Kotah where third powerhouse is to be built; downstream of 3 dams will be barrage where canal system will commence feeding parched lands in Kotah-Bundi, Bhind and Morena districts; area irrigated will be 1, 400,000 acres, and power generated 250,000 kw at 60% load factor.
