Floats indicating opposite directions of current
Experiments carried out in laboratory of Inst of Hydraulic Eng, at Gdansk, Poland have shown that direction of movement of floats depends on their form and is not indicative of direction of sea current; with incipient undulation one of models starts to move in direction of wave propagation, second -- against it; it is concluded that float movement in undulating water is inconclusive as to existence of surface sea current.
