Pavlovsky's theory for phreatic line and slope stability
In design of earth dams, levees, and other earth hydraulic structures, determination of position of theoretical line of saturation in embankment and study of slope stability are important; methods useful in checking design assumptions such as: seepage loss, point of intersection of line of saturation with downstream slope of embankment, steepness of slopes, stability of slopes, and necessity of improvement of stability.
