Flow of concentrated raw sewage sludges in pipes
Results of flow of concentrated raw sewage through pipes in conjunction with Den-sludge pilot plant of Greenwich, Conn; when concentrated raw sludges in order of 8 to 10% total solids are handled, pipe friction losses may be six to eight times losses when water is used; in same manner, friction losses can be estimated with Hazen-Williams formula using C values 60 to 75% less than those established with flow of water in pipe.
