Hydraulics research inquiry on Thames Estuary
Inquiry has shown that most of material dumped by dredges in Black Deep off mouth of Thames is carried back by tides; it was found that the more dredging done, the more deposition occurred in dredged areas; authors recommended that material dredged should be pumped ashore; channel conditions prevailing in tidal reaches of Thames described.
