Road stabilisation in sandy areas
Experience in India in stabilization of sandy soils with addition of bituminous materials; tests conducted showed that mere sand-bitumen combinations cannot give required stability value and that addition of small percentage of cement or lime-flyash improved stability values of sand-bitumen when mixed with optimum moisture content; results for sand-bitumen mixes with cement, lime and fly ash.
