Frictional stresses in concrete pavements
Investigations were carried out on test slabs to evaluate forces of restraint and coefficients of friction on concrete pavements resting on different types of bases; slab size used was 4 ft by 3 ft; castin-situ and precast concrete slab construction were adopted in tests; test procedure is described and it is shown among other things that value of restraint increases linearly with displacement until it attains steady value.
