Concrete pavements on highly expansive subgrade soils
It is stated that longitudinal joint provided with tie-bars is necessary when concrete pavements are laid on highly expansive subgrade soils; design of tie-bars is indicated and author shows that steel flats, apart from being economical are more flexible than round bars and therefore more advantageous.
