A platform for research: civil engineering, architecture and urbanism
Thin films of asphalt were exposed to various effects and viscosities of hardened materials measured in microfilm viscometer at 77 or 95 F; values were divided by viscosity of original asphalt measured at same temperature; magnitude of effects studied are compared using data obtained for various asphalts of 85-100 and 120-150 penetration treated for 16 hr at 190 F; problems encountered when attempting to correlate laboratory tests on asphalts with pavement durability are discussed.
