Methods used for flaw detection in articles of plastics
Experimental determination of sensitivity of X-ray photographic method using fine-focus tubes with beryllium windows; with plastic specimens of 1-5 mm wall thickness sensitivity of method is 5-3% and with 10 mm thick specimens it is 2%; inspection by means of electric discharge reveals small cracks and pores which remain undetected by other methods. (see also English translation in Indus Laboratory v 29 n 1 Jan 1963 p 35-7)
