Asbestos reinforced plastics -- Effect of fiber orientation
Experimental study with amphibole asbestos reinforced phenolic composites for heavy duty corrosion resistance to determine effect of fiber orientation -- parallel and perpendicular to length and random -- on tensile strength, compressive strength, modulus, thermal expansion and swelling in solvents; effect of reinforcement surface chemistry as related to particular polymer which surrounds it in terms of composite's properties, is discussed.
