Main features of two tunnels about to be constructed; vehicular tunnel will be 2100 m. long and will have roadway 6.75 m. wide, most of it on 3.5 per cent grade; pedestrian tunnels will be about 500 m. long, 4.3 m. internal diam.; it will be served by elevators at either end running in shafts 34 m. deep.
