Review of author's earlier work on determination of compressive strength from teats of reinforced beams; conversion factor between cube and beam; American tests; German conversion coefficient is based on 30-cm. cube, determined with aid of center load; influence of temperature of aggregates and atmosphere on cement during setting is factor not considered in reports referred to, but which, author believes, is perhaps only means of explaining some deviations from mean values.
