Alabastrite and alum plaster
Gypsum alabaster (or alabastrite) is found set between two masses of dolomitic marl; utilization of Vallieres alabaster for plaster dates only from last century; alum plaster or white cement, English cement, consists of pure alabastrite dehydrated and treated with alum. Abstract translated from Ciment, Feb. 1928.
