Glasgow hall utilizes concrete arches of 110-ft. span
Roof structure of Kelvin Hall, Glasgow, made up of series of bowstring arches; secondary stresses important; three roof spans of 110 ft. each and one of 60 ft.; lengths normal to spans are 458 ft. and 331 ft. respectively; calculations of main roof principles were based on design of bowstring girders having negligible moment of inertia in tie.
