A platform for research: civil engineering, architecture and urbanism
Idea suggested by author is to construct abutments with iron and concrete in form of trellis; construction is similar to that utilized in buildings, and is very simple, perfectly impermeable and unaffected by temperature; corrosion can be avoided by suitable coatings and it is easy to change damaged part or entire trellis. (see also brief translated abstract in Water and Water Eng., vol. 30, no. 353, May 21, 1928, pp. 236-237.)
