Concrete sheet piling sides of 400-sec.-ft. intake, for stand-by plant of Pacific Gas and Electric Co., on shore of San Francisco Bay, carried above water level so cover could be built in dry; side walls of conduit formed by two rows of concrete sheet piling between which layer of tremie concrete was poured to form bottom; welded steel bars bond tops of side walls.
