Setting and hardening of concrete
Concrete mixtures instead of pure cement were used and forms were poured which were well insulated in order to measure comparatively small amount of heat evolved, as cement content of concrete was only 20 per cent; course taken by evolution of heat during setting; temperature during setting of iron portland and blast-furnace cement concrete gaged with water alone and with water containing calcium chloride; results of experiment. Abstract translated from Zement, Sept. 20, 1928.
