The use of brattice cloth in coal mines
Brattice cloth is employed for crosscut brattices, for curtains in haulageways, and for line brattices in gassy mines; in each case it is used to deflect part or all of split of mine ventilating current into or toward face of working place; in general, use is temporary; usually fastened to line of temporary posts; report based on data obtained through questionnaire; details as to material, costs, consumption, use and life, specifications and standardization.
