A platform for research: civil engineering, architecture and urbanism
City-planning problems are best solved by applying principles of art and rules of design to scientific data, because city planning is art, as well as science; it is continuous job that is ended only when community ceases to grow; its great purpose is civic orderliness and harmony, and latter may be considered as fourth dimension of city planning; ideal city planning; City Planning Commission will supplement imagination and vision of its own members, by experience, training, and vision of various experts. See also discussion in no. 7, Sept. 1928, pp. 2147-2149.
