The water ratio in (German) standard cement mixes
Method specified in current German standard cement specification for determining correct consistance of standard mortar mixes depends upon expulsion of water during certain period of process of ramming applied to test pieces; author proposes that three standard consistences be adopted for such mortars, namely, dry, "trowelable," and plastic, such consistencies being attainable by using three definite amounts of mixing water. Brief abstract translated from Zement, 1928, pp. 443-446.
