Creosoted timber bridge of striking design
Bridge across Bayou Lacassinne, on main highway between Lake Charles and Lake Arthur, La.; length of bridge is 724 ft., and it consists of 70-ft. steel center span and two creosoted southern pine timber approaches, each 327 ft. in length; use of parabolic curve permits compliance with government requirements, and finished structure harmonizes with natural beauty of vicinity.
