Plant and methods employed in casting and driving 2796 piles and pouring 24,500 lin. ft. of girder and slab deck for new toll-bridge entrance to New Orleans; structure consists of concrete deck, with railings, in 35-ft. spans on capped four-pile bents, all heavily reinforced; general design of trestle is shown and detail of pile; two steel draw spans, aggregating 427 ft. in length and 700 spans of standard trestle; materials and pile-casting plant; floating construction plant.
