Construction features of new three-track crossing at Jersey City totaling 1.4 mi. in length and costing about $3,000,000; new three-track electrically operated vertical lift bridge with span of 205 ft.; earth fill 1300 ft. long, and girderless, flat-slab concrete viaduct 550 ft. long constitute east approach; west approach made up of earth embankment 4800 ft. long and concrete viaduct 266 ft. long; details of Hirschthal method of supporting slab forms without falsework.
