Appraisal of contribution of grain boundaries to overall deformation during creep
Lines were drawn on surface of sample and requisite deformation was produced; displacements and angles between directions of boundaries and force were measured and mean deformation of grain estimated; comparison of value with total deformation gave measure of contribution of grain boundaries.
