Point defects in low temperature diffusion of aluminum alloys
Formation of Guinier-Preston zones taking place with very high reaction rate in many quenched aluminum alloys; examination of hypothesis that this high rate of pre-precipitation is due to excess of quenched-in vacancies; this is shown to be in agreement with experimental results.
