Performance of concrete pavements as related to subbase construction methods
Results of study to establish minimum subbase requirements for wide range of traffic, soils and climatic conditions, indicate that uniformity of gradation is quality having most influence on pavement performance, and that subbase materials having small maximum size were found to perform better than courser materials; construction procedures for uniform pavement support.
