High nitrogen alloys
Aluminothermic process for producing nitrogen-containing ferrochromium for alloying stainless steels should be replaced by more efficient process of nitriding in solid state, which is more economical method making possible introduction of any desired quantity of relatively cheap nitrogen into steel by means of this high nitrogen-containing material. (See also Stal v 20 n 9 Sept 1960 p 813-16)
