Tensile strength and diagonal tension resistance of structural lightweight concrete
Simple means of establishing diagonal tension resistance to be associated with particular aggregate is suggested by analysis of new investigation based on split cylinder test; good correlation is established between indirect tension measurement and shear resistance of beams at diagonal cracking; proposed ultimate load design recommendations are made for structural light weight concrete, in accord with recommendations of ACI-ASCE Committee 326.
