Factors affecting bond between concrete and reinforcement
Based on review of selected published information, it is concluded that in past, insufficient emphasis has been placed on effect of concrete properties on bond, other than concrete compressive strength; effects of settlement and sedimentation characteristics of plastic concrete and volumetric changes of hardened concrete on bond need to be studied; work being done in this direction.
