Problems in post-tensioning Vierendeel wall girders
Experiences with construction of Earth Sciences Building at MIT; considerations which lead to use of individual Vierendeel trusses at each floor level; author proposed to pour each truss on ground horizontally and then, by cradle arrangement, lift it up so that it could be set into its proper position, but this solution could not be realized as contractor was not prepared to do it.
