Summary of theory of buckling for homogeneous materials, especially reinforced concrete; determination of flexural and torsional rigidities in uncracked, cracked elastic, and cracked plastic states; tests were made on 2 series of beams: 6 of rectangular section and 4 inverted L beams; it is concluded that factors of span-width ratio, width-height ratio, and percentage of reinforcement and its distribution are of equal importance.
