Report deals with mechanism of formation of water-curtain which appears on seepage from canal when it encounters with natural underground flow at upstream part of canal; phenomena were proved by seepage experiments using sand model in laboratory and also by in-situ tests performed at shore of Lake Biwa in Japan.
