Departure station for malga ciapela-serauta-marmolada passenger ropeway (Italy)
Brief note on steel structure that constitutes new departure in sphere of aerial ropeway station design; technical and economic difficulties of construction due to nature of site and to need for architectural forms to harmonize with it were taken into account; roofs of two-level station consist of two symmetrical surfaces sloped at 110% with respect to horizontal; lateral projecting parts of building have low-pitched roofs and accommodate ancillary rooms for ropeway; other structural characteristics are provided.
