Wind loads on kresge auditorium and traveler's building
Experimental results of wind tunnel tests on models of Kresge Auditorium (M.I.T.) and Traveler's Building (New York World's Fair); Kresge Auditorium was tested for two orientations on wind tunnel floor and one orientation when placed on ground board, providing opportunity to compare boundary layer effects; Traveler's Building was tested as simple dome on floor, in "clamshell" form and in final form, "umbrella"; results for different conditions were compared and general results were correlated with previous tests on domes and dome-cylinder combinations.
