Lateral distribution of vehicular loads in prestressed concrete box-beam bridge -- Berwick bridge
Field testing of beam-slab high way bridge is described; loading conditions consisted of either static runs with truck parked on bridge, or crawl runs with truck traveling across bridge at 2 to 3 mph; principal objectives were to develop information on lateral distribution of vehicle loads to girders, and to compare structural response at different cross-sections; effect of girder spacing was studied by comparing test results with results from pilot study bridge.
