New bridge complex for Adelaide
Design and construction methods of two new prestressed concrete bridges in place of two 80-yr old bridges in Adelaide, South Australia; in their completed form Victoria and Morphett Street bridges combined have total length of 800 ft and width of approximately 90 ft; Victoria bridge increases waterway width to 185 ft with 10 ft wide tow path on each side; Morphett Street bridge is made up of five simply supported spans across railway yards leading to single 120 ft span over North Terrace and short flanking span of 40 ft. to southern abutment.
