Epoxy-jointed prestressed concrete bridges
Examples presented describe extensive and successful application of segmental construction technique in Netherlands; method involves use of single soffit formwork equivalent to one half span of bridge and following unusual shape needed for v-shaped piers; pier head unit is first cast and segments forming remaining half of cantilever are cast successively against this; segments are then moved to store while bridge unit is turned through 180° so that symmetrical half cantilever on other side of pier can be cast against it.
