A platform for research: civil engineering, architecture and urbanism
It is shown that within types of structures, length is measure of relative standing; seven tables presented list bridges around the world, both open and under construction, in order of length of main span; simple truss and movable steel bridges are not considered; categories tabulated are suspension, continuous truss, cantilever, steel and concrete arch, cable-stayed, and continuous plate and box girder bridges.
