Inelastic bar subjected to thrust and cyclic bending
Ultimate strength of steel members subjected to combined thrust and cyclic bending allowing for effect of strain-hardening is analyzed and checked by experiments; numerical method for determining moment-curvature diagram for any material and any cross sections is used; procedures for calculating inelastic deformation and ultimate strength of member subjected to combined thrust and bending; inelastic behavior of member subjected to cyclic bending under constant thrust is analyzed; it is shown that theoretical predictions are in accordance with test results.
