Ultimate strength of reinforced concrete deep beams
Based on assumed stress distribution for concrete in compression and tension, expressions are derived for flexural strength and shear strength of reinforced concrete deep beams; theoretical equations compared with approximately 100 test results available in literature, and were found to be in fairly good agreement, with plus or minus 20% in most of cases.
